All IDA members belong to one of the eight geographic regions of IDA.

Each region has local branches and committees where you can meet with other members of IDA in your local area about your expertise or for social events.
IDA's regional communities are also called regional networks.
As a member of a regional community, you will be invited to social and cultural events, where you can meet other IDA members in your local area in an informal setting and create relationships that go beyond the professional.
The regional communities that offer opportunities for personal and professional development, as well as the chance to meet representatives from local trade, businesses, and educational institutions. The regional communities host a variety of different events, from company visits to after-work meetings and social outings.
The regional IDA communities have a wide variety of offers for their members, whether you are looking for events aimed at students, the unemployed, families with children, those with a tight schedule, or a seniors or retirees.
IDA's regional communities are for IDA members only.
As a member you are automatically affiliated and signed up with the region and branch you live in (there are several branches in each region).
If you would also like to join one or more professional communities, you have to sign up for them yourself.

As a member of IDA, it is free to be a member of a regional community.
Non-members cannot join IDA's regional communities.
IDA's regional communities are run by boards consisting of IDA volunteers. The board members sit for 3 years and may be re-elected once. Boards meet approx. 6-8 times a year.

You can unsubscribe from one of IDA's regional communities on My IDA under My registrations - My networks.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reduce the frequency of the individual regional communities' newsletters.
If you are no longer interested in receiving newsletters from IDA's regional communities, you can log in to My IDA and unsubscribe from the newsletter.

IDA's regional communities each send out a newsletter with future events taking place in the region. Most regional newsletters are in Danish, but we recommend signing up anyways and using a browser translator to translate into English. Many of the events are available to non-Danish speakers, even if the event description is in Danish. If you want to know whether an event is accessible to you if you don't speak Danish, you can contact the organiser listed on the event page or write to one of the community coordinaters listed below.
