IDA has an agreement with the law firm Tommy V. Christiansen (TVC), Denmark’s largest law firm within taxation law, with offices in Copenhagen, Roskilde, Kolding and Aarhus.

The agreement means that all IDA members, except students, can receive free help to asses tax cases or cases on VAT, duties or customs.

If you are involved in a tax case, contact IDA on +45 33 18 48 48 and ask to be referred to the tax lawyers at TVC. TVC will assign you a contact person (usually a lawyer) who will meet with you personally and advise you on:

  • Your chances of winning the case,
  • How much it will cost you to try the case and
  • What the consequences will be if you do not try the case.

Based on TVC’s assessment, you will be advised on what legal action can be taken and naturally you will receive an estimate of how much it will cost. After this, you’re free to decide what to do. You can even choose to contact another consultant based on what you now know about your options.

If you decide to use TVC, you will be billed at normal TVC rates.
You can also be referred to a contact person at TVC if there’s a tax issue you would like to discuss. The counselling you receive up to and including the first meeting is free.
