PhD

IDA Peer group for PhDs

After years of research, you might be considering whether to stay in research or find a job in the private sector. But what are the pros and cons of the two options, and which competencies are valued by private sector employers? Join our peer group for those who are finishing or have recently finished their PhD and are now preparing for the next stage of their career.

Are you close to finishing a PhD in a STEM field - or have you finished it already? It is natural to have doubts about which direction you career should take from now on. In IDA's peer group for PhDs, you will meet others who, like you, are preparing for a life after getting a doctorate.

The peer group is a confidential space for sharing experiences and knowledge. It is organised by voluntary IDA members who are completing a course in professional facilitation. Based on the experiences of you and other participants, the organisers will open a discussion and suggest tools for dealing with issues relating to your current situation.

Why you should join the group:

  • Learn how to convert your competencies into useful career skills
  • Find out how to transition from research to private sector employment
  • Get input from external experts on issues of your own choice

Please note

The group is for IDA-members only and will be carried out by demand if enough people sign up in a geographical location. The price for the course, which consists of five meetings, is DKK 495.
