Wind technologies for cleaner shipping
The EU Interreg project WASP: installed wind technologies on large commercial ships. The project developed a Decision Support Model for ship-owners to clarify if investments in wind propulsion are favourable business.

The EU Interreg project WASP: Wind Assisted Ship Propulsion: installed and tested different full scale wind technologies on large commercial cargo and passenger ships and conducted third-party validation to document fuel savings. Based on the savings, the project developed a Decision Support Model for ship-owners to clarify if investments in wind propulsion are a favourable business case. In five quarters we present and discuss key project results.
