The hidden world of generic-drug manufacturing - “BOTTLE OF LIES”
Katherine Eban will take listeners into the hidden world of generic-drug manufacturing, which she exposes in her New York Times bestselling book, BOTTLE OF LIES: the Inside Story of the Generic Drug Boom.

In a detailed talk, Katherine Eban will take listeners into the hidden world of generic-drug manufacturing, which she exposes in her New York Times bestselling book, BOTTLE OF LIES: the Inside Story of the Generic Drug Boom.  Based on a decade of reporting on four continents, Eban will describe an industry where fraud is rampant, companies routinely falsify data, and executives circumvent almost every principle of safe manufacturing to minimize cost and maximize profit. Meanwhile, patients unwittingly consume medicine with unpredictable and dangerous effects.
