Ship design in 3D - Online

Ship design in 3D - Online
This session will focus on the development over the last decades in using of 3D tools in ship design and on how much that has been moved from nice to have to need to have.

3D tools in ship design have obvious benefits to create a clear understanding for all involved on all technical and non-technical levels. However, Computer power and data input, and the associated costs, limits the use of 3D tools as nice to have is overruled by need to have when it comes to economy and project budgets.

This session will focus on the development over the last decades in using of 3D tools in ship design and on how much that has been moved from nice to have to need to have. In addition, the focus will be on cost reducing “interface” between software’s and the challenges to face and/or overcome.
