Python for Data Science and Automation in Biotechnology

Python for Data Science and Automation in Biotechnology
Join us for this event where you will get an introduction to how you can use Python for Data Science and Automation in Biotechnology when Nikolaus Sonnenschein and Kai Blin from DTU visit.

With data generation becoming ever more easy in biology, life scientist and engineers are increasingly facing challenges in analyzing data in their line of work. For example, simple bioinformatics tasks can become a huge drain on scientists’ time as they repetitively copy and paste information into web interfaces instead of running batch operations.

Associate Professor Nikolaus Sonnenschein leads a research group within Computer Aided Biotechnology at DTU Bioengineering and researcher Kai Blin who heads a Bioinformatics group at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability at DTU are both highly experienced in using Python for automation within Biotechnology. This event is tailored towards biotechnology specifically and on how you might benefit from using this tool for data analysis and automation.

At this event Nikolaus and Kai will give you a general introduction to Python and how you can use the program within Biotechnology, and will also give you a practical feel of how to run actual codes/simulation. As well as a visualization of what you might use python for once you become more experienced. This event is interactive in that the participant will practically be able to follow along with the programming in their browsers.

Please note!
There is a capacity limit of 100 people for the simultaneous coding (during the event), but due to an overwhelming interest, we have raised the attendee limit for this event. This means that we cannot guarantee that all participants will be able to log on to the simultaneous coding. You will, however, still be able to follow the coding on your screen as well as the presentation in general.

Speakers
Nikolaus Sonnenschein, Associate Professor, DTU Bioengineering
