In 2023 Danske Patruljeskibe was awarded a pre-engineering contract for design of new Multi-Role Patrol ships for the Royal Danish Navy. Danske Patruljeskibe will present the status of the contract and introduce the concept of the patrol vessels in relation to modularity and capability.

18:45 – 19.10 Naval Ship Assurance and the Role of Classification
Lloyds Register has a long history with the naval community and through the Naval Ship Rules it can provide a benchmarked against international legislation while considering the operational role of the vessel and also recognising that the navy may have a higher tolerance of risk in specific situations and more stringent requirements/standards to address. This presentation through a series of cases studies will demonstrate how this has been achieved successful on a variety of different naval platforms always meeting the navy’s specification and tailored requirements.
