Christmas special - Looking back at a life with maritime politics by Bendt Bendtsen (online )

Join us for this special Christmas event, where we are delighted to welcome former Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Business and Economy Bendt Bendtsen. Bendt Bendtsen has been a member of the Danish Parliament as well as the European Parliament and from 2001 to 2008 Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Business and Economy and thereby also “Minister for Shipping”.

There will also be presentation of this year's DSNAME honorary award.

Program

17.00 Welcome and background to DSNAME's honorary scholarship and presentation of the scholarship by Jesper Aagesen (presentation in English) including brief reasoning by the project counsellors and introduction to the project by the recipients.

17.20 - 18.30 Christmas Special: Looking back at a life with maritime politics - presented by former Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Business and Economy Bendt Bendtsen.

Shipping has always been dear to Bendt’s heart, both before, during and after his time as elected as well as minister, and Bendt is still active within the maritime community. At this event Bendt will take us on a journey through his experience as politician with particular focus on his time as minister and his experiencer within sipping spiced up with a lot of anecdotes.

Bendt Bendtsen har været medlem af Folketinget og Europa-Parlamentet og i perioden 2001-2008 vicestatsminister og erhvervs- og økonomiminister og dermed også minister for søfarten. Søfarten har altid stået Bendt’s hjerte nær, både før, under og efter sin tid som folkevalgt såvel som minister og Bendt er fortsat aktiv inden for det maritime område.

Til dette arrangement vil Bendt tage os på en rejse gennem sine oplevelser som politiker med særlig fokus på hans ministertid og oplevelser inden for søfartsområdet krydret med talrige anekdoter. *Præsentationen afholdes på dansk. *
