The latest research and achievements in the fields of sensor technology, collision avoidance and decision support together with experience from other countries will be presented. University research, state of the art technology and tests for the purpose of optimising maritime autonomous systems will show possible future applications to increase safety at sea and improve performance.
Programme
17:00 - 17:05 Introduction and welcome by Valdemar Ehlers, Danish Maritime
AIS has been tracking ships for more than 20 years. Now AIS 2.0 (also known as VDES) is about to be deployed in coast radio networks and satellites. AIS 2.0 has been given new radio spectrum which allows for new open data channels that can be used for a range of digital services, such as distribution of weather forecasts, preventive monitoring of engines. Sternula is Denmark’s first satellite operator and will be offering global AIS 2.0 connectivity via satellite.
18:10 – 18:40 Break
18:40 – 19:10 Next level underwater inspections - A presentation of new technical solutions including 3D – twin by CEO Mads Andersen, Blue Atlas Robotics
19:10 - 20:00 Questions and closure
The event is in collaboration with Danish Society for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Foundation.
