IDA is participating in the National Cyber Security Month

Cyber Security Month is held every October, IDA plays a role in raising awareness on digital security.

Denmark participates for the first time in European Cyber Security Month (ECSM), which aims to raise awareness of cyber security threats and improve digital security for citizens, businesses and authorities in Denmark.

IDA IT has over 10,000 IT professional members. Therefore IDA will contribute with activities and events. Kåre Løvgren, chairman of IDA IT, is pleased that the Danish Agency for Digitization has taken on the task as national coordinator.

“It is more important than ever, to create strong and lasting awareness on cyber security. Therefore, it is good that Denmark, along with many other EU countries, is participating in the campaign with our own national cyber security month in October,” he says.

Denmark is one of the most digital countries in the world, which is why, according to Kåre Løvgren, cyber security will become an integrated part of all Danes awareness.

“IDA has a role and a responsibility here. We are therefore committed to support the month by organizing activities that can raise the general level of knowledge about how Danes digitally protect themselves and their information,” he says.

The National Cyber Security Month is inspired by and linked to the European Cyber Security Month, which is held each year in October. It is an initiative of the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA).

The European Cyber Security Month is mainly constituted by many national campaigns and activities of EU Member States directed at companies, citizens and authorities.
