The Great Tour of China with OurWorld
Would you like to experience China's magnificent history, iconic landmarks, amazing culture, diverse architecture, and impressive engineering feats? Then this tour is for you!
There are many highlights in both the tour's sights and historical overview of China, where you will see these highlights and much more:
- The Forbidden City, Tiantan and the Great Wall of China in and around Beijing
- The Terracotta Army, the city wall and the first emperor's pyramid in Xian
- Chongqing's revolutionary modern buildings and infrastructure
- The Yangtze River's calm flow through the Three Gorges and the Three Gorges Dam
- Shanghai's mix of modern architecture, Chinese gardens and European style
For example, there is plenty of time to experience Chongqing's uniqueness with large squares high above street level, light rails running through buildings and the atmospheric area of Hongya Cave. This experience is very special and nicely complements the imperial sights in Beijing and the other sights on the tour. There is of course also ample opportunity to experience the tasty Chinese cuisine and the country's ancient culture. And there is a Danish tour guide on the entire tour.
The transport itself is also an important part of the trip:
- You will travel by direct flight from Copenhagen to Beijing with Air China, so there is as much time as possible for experiences instead of extra transport with a change of plane.
- The transport from Beijing to Xian, Xian to Chongqing, Yichang to Shanghai and Shanghai to Beijing is with China's modern high-speed train, which is an engineering feat in itself.
- There are three nights on board the 5-star cruise ship from Victoria Cruises on the lovely sailing trip between Chongqing and Yichang, and there are experiences along the way.

Early bird discounts:
If you buy the trip in May, there is a DKK 1,000 discount per person.
If you buy the trip in June, there is a DKK 500 discount per person.
