VINIDA - Summer Wines - Top Tips for Summer Sippers and Question Time

Summer. As the temperatures increase over 20ºC, it’s time for Amarone and Port* to go into the cellar and for something lighter to go into the glass. But lighter doesn’t have to mean emptier, less exciting or less good.

In this tasting we will taste both classic summer wines (time for some rosé!) and discover some novel exciting options you might not have thought of. Of course we cannot taste everything in one evening, so every wine will come with a selection of similar-but-different options. Food pairings will also be a key consideration with this selection of wines that can go with food - but also happily enjoyed on their own.

This tasting will be presented in English by Dr Janice Wang DipWSET and Domen Prešern DipWSET. This will be the final tasting of the academic year, before the summer holidays. As such it will be in a particularly relaxed atmosphere. It also means there will be extra time for questions on anything and everything wine.

*There might even be a Port(!)

This tasting is open for everyone, but as we sometimes will be very detailed, it does give a better experience, if you have some basic knowledge of wines.
