Indulge in the art of Danish pastry perfection! Join us for an evening of exquisite sweetness, where we explore authentic recipes steeped in Denmark's confectionery heritage.

On this evening course, we will explore the most delicate and original recipes within Danish sweet pastries, shaped by Denmark's fascination with the fine French confectionery tradition. We focus exclusively on cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats taken from the EU's list of regional specialties. The course is aimed at anyone curious about learning to bake authentic Danish sweets, especially foreigners residing here (and any accompanying persons).

Cakes we will bake:

  • Danish Butter Cookies: These cookies have a crispy texture and practically melt in your mouth. Perfect with a cup of tea or coffee .
  • Kringle: A braided cake filled with marzipan and remonce. It’s both beautiful and delicious .
  • Hindbærsnitter (Raspberry Slices): Thin layers of cake filled with raspberry jam and topped with icing. A classic on the Danish dessert table .
  • Rugbrødslagkage (Rye Bread Layer Cake): A surprising combination of rye bread and whipped cream. This cake offers a unique twist on traditional layer cakes . 

Our experienced instructor will guide you through the recipes, ensuring you have a cozy experience while learning about the cultural historical background. A sandwich will be served during the evening, and we will finish with some coffee/tea and stories as we enjoy our creations. Not suitable for those with gluten or lactose allergies.
