Background for the collaboration between Aarhus University and IDA
IDA aims to shape the professional communities of the future for the benefit of its members and Danish society by increasing efforts in continuing education, particularly in STEM fields. Therefore, Aarhus University, TechCircle, and IDA have collaborated to develop a series of courses. These courses are funded by TechCircle, EU, and Danmarks Erhvervsfremmebestyrelse. Aarhus University is a partner in TechCircle and provides expertise for each course. The common goal of these courses is to further develop the technological competencies of IDA's members.
IDA Østjylland Erhvervsudvalget has entered into a strategic collaboration with Aarhus University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) on educational offerings – with the aim of strengthening the bridge between industry and research in the academic environment. Aarhus University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is central to the education of tomorrow's engineers and the creation of technological innovations. The department's strong focus on both theoretical and practical knowledge in electrical and computer engineering makes ECE an ideal partner for IDA in promoting the professional development of IDA members.
