Similarities and differences in Dutch and Danish emergency management

On 26 th September, at 09:30, representatives from the Dutch emergency response regions will participate and give a brief on how their emergency response is organized and in return receive a presentation on Denmark's handling of the same.
The entire event will be held in English.
Event details:
In September 2024 (25-27), a delegation from the 25 Dutch safety regions will visit the Øresund region. This is the 3rd visit. The first visit were all fire chiefs. The second group were a mix of managent of the regions, involved with risk and strategic levels.
This third group is the high potentials from the regions and some of the paticipants more on an operational level. Some of them will in the future become the top leaders of safety regions.
A short explenation of role and position of the safety regions
The visit is part of the leadership programme "leadership without borders" focused on the leaders of these regions.
The intent of the visit is to immerse the participants in a best practice example of transboundary and cross-sectoral collaboration between various government agencies, regional partners and emergency services in their networks.
The IDA Risk representative and board member, Niels Johan Juhl-Nielsen will brief elaborate and focus on how Denmark has organized it's emergency management and how it works together in safety and disaster issues. Furthermore, he will examine the influence of governmental and regional (international) collaboration.
The arrangement will take place Thursday 26 th of September 2024 from 09:30 -12 at the University of Aalborg i Copenhagen (AAU), A.C. Meyers Vænge 15, 2450 Copenhagen SV. Auditorium 3.084A, 3rd. floor of the Main Building.
