Come and join us for an interesting talk about Scale-up of Biosustainable Production Processes and Understanding “Fermenterphiles” for Successful Scale-up
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability at DTU seeks through research and innovation to develop new products that are produced in a biosustainable way. In this talk, we will hear about some of the important aspects to consider when developing a new production process.
Industrial robustness is a key ‘expected' trait of a microbial cell factory, i.e., the cellular ability to maintain its functional structure against perturbations and uncertain process conditions. While
engineered cells face scale-up hurdles when subjected to uncertain environmental conditions, cellular robustness plays a decisive role in maintaining cellular homeostasis, often leading to cellular variability in a production setting. The talk will address some of the challenges faced by engineered cells and methods/tools at DTU-Biosustain to diagnose them.
Speakers:
Ann Dorrit Enevoldsen, PhD, Pilot Plant Manager, DTU-Biosustain
Suresh Sudarsan, Dr. -Ing., Senior Program Manager, DTU-Biosustain
The event/Tech Talks are carried out in collaboration with Helix Lab, and registration is made directly to them.
Helix Lab is open for coffee and networking from 14:00-17:00
Tech Talks are scientific talks with speakers from universities and industry. They take place in the Helix Lab building, just 10 minutes’ walk from the Novo Nordisk/Novozymes site in Kalundborg.
