Robotics and Autonomous Systems – Insights and Applications
IDA supports the UN's world goals

IDA wants to make visible the link to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). This event covers, among other things, the above development goals. Read more about the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

Professor Lazaros Nalpantidis and Associate Professor Roberto Galeazzi will provide unique insights into robotics and autonomous systems, exploring their future developments.

How can autonomous systems and robotics contribute to a more sustainable, safe, and efficient future?

Professors Lazaros Nalpantidis and Roberto Galeazzi from DTU Electro will share their expertise and research in autonomous systems, robot perception, machine learning, and advanced control engineering.

Professor Nalpantidis, head of the Perception & Cognition for Autonomous Systems group at DTU Electro, focuses on how robots can perceive and navigate complex environments using advanced perception and artificial intelligence. His research spans from agricultural robotics to intelligent systems operating in dynamic settings.

Associate Professor Galeazzi, leader of the Control, Robotics and Embodied AI group at DTU Electro, investigates resilient and intelligent autonomous systems combining fault diagnosis, advanced control methods, and decision theory. He develops autonomous marine systems to advance mobility, enhance environmental monitoring, and strengthen maritime security.

The lecture will provide insights into the latest research and practical applications of robotics and autonomous systems, while also discussing the challenges and opportunities related to integrating these technologies into society.
