📜 Content

Python is a programming language which is fairly easy to learn and widely used for web developing, machine learning and scientific data analysis in general. On this course you will get an introduction to the most fundamental coding concepts, which you need to know and master in order to treat and analyze data in Python.

🎯 Who is this course for?

This course is relevant for you if you have little to none experience with Python or simply wish to get a refresh of the very basics.

🤓 After completing this course you will be able to

- Perform simple calculations with Python

- Define variables in Python

- Define functions and execute them as commands

- Write conditional code (if/else-statements)

If time allows, we might also touch upon:

- Constructing simple iterative loops

- The most important data types

- Working with matrices (arrays) with the NumPy package

❗ Practicalities

We use Google Colab for writing and executing Python code so you don’t need to install Python on your computer beforehand. However it does require that you have a Google account (which you know the credentials to) in order for you to follow the webinar.
