Python is an object-oriented dynamic programming language that is widely used in many places (From Disney and HP, to Google and NASA). It is among the most popular scripting languages today, both because of its simple and clean syntax, and because there is a large selection of modules. The interpreter can be freely downloaded to virtually all platforms, a simple editor or a development environment can be used to write the programs, so it is quick to start scripting in Python.
During the course, participants will come through the basic ideas behind Python such as syntax, data structures and the provided library. Various development tools will be presented and there will be the opportunity to try writing small programs.
