Mathematical Optimisation in Supply Chain & Operations Management
If you are interested in mathematical optimisation, here is your chance to learn more about applications in supply chain & operations management
Come and learn about cases for mathematical optimisation methods within supply chain and operations management. You will also learn about the challenges you can face when applying mathematical optimisation in practice, and what you need to consider before starting initiatives with mathematical optimisation. We will discuss why mathematical optimisation isn’t used broadly in the industry, and the outlook for increasing adoption.
First the winner of this year’s prize for “Best DTU Operations Management Thesis” and one more nominated group will
present their projects:
- “Optimizing Biofuel Purchasing Strategies and Analyzing Insetting Token Price Dynamics in the Maritime
Industry” by Anders Ortving - “Detailed Scheduling of Production Plans” by Ewa Behr and Joaquin Fürstenheim
After a break with sandwiches, Allan Larsen from DTU Management and Natalia Rezanova from A.P.Møller-Mærsk will discuss the use of mathematical optimisation in practice.
At the end of the event, we will finish the IDA Supply Chain year with glögg and æbleskiver and you will have the opportunity to network with other people interested in optimisation.
The event will be held in English.
If you are unable to attend, please remember to cancel your registration. A "no show" fee of 200 DKK (300 DKK for non-members) will be charged if you do not cancel, or if you cancel after the cancellation deadline.
