Two-time Oscar® winner, Renée Zellweger returns to the role that created a new, romantic heroine, a woman whose incomparable approach to life and love redefined an entire film genre.
Bridget's special ability to triumph despite adversity led her to finally marry top lawyer Mark Darcy and become the mother of their baby boy, Billy.
In "Bridget Jones – Crazy About Him", Bridget has been a widow for the four years that have passed since Mark was killed on a humanitarian mission in Sudan. Now as a single mother to 9-year-old Billy and 4-year-old Mabel, she is stuck in a state of emotional limbo, raising the children with the help of her loyal friends and even her former lover, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant). Bridget feels pressured by her "family", Shazzer, Jude and Tom, work colleague Miranda, his mother and gynecologist Dr. Rawlings (Oscar® winner Emma Thompson), to forge new paths to find love again. She even tries her luck with dating apps, with the result that a tenacious, younger guy (Leo Woodall from "White Lotus") starts stalking her.
Bridget now juggles work, home and romance, not to mention the mothers at the children's school, who are quick to send judgmental glances in her direction. She worries about her son Billy, who is struggling with his father's absence, and she throws herself into a series of awkward situations with her son's highly rational teacher (Oscar-nominated® Chiwetel Ejiofor).
