Come play with us as we turn things upside down and explore headstands and arm balances.

Arm balances and inverted poses offer a fun and refreshing way to engage your body while strengthening your core. These postures build both physical and mental stability, as you’re not only working your body but also gently pushing your boundaries and learning to find calmness in an upside-down position.

Inversions can feel mentally challenging, but remember: as long as your hips or heart are above your head, you’re already in an inversion. Even a simple downward dog or a forward fold counts – allowing you to meet the world from a new perspective.

Practicing arm balances and inversions boosts circulation, builds strength, and gives you a rush of energy, confidence, and endorphins. This workshop is all about approaching inversions with a playful mindset and embracing both the physical and mental challenge.

We’ll start with a grounding yoga warm-up to prepare the body for the upside-down work ahead. From there, it’s less about how much experience you have and more about your willingness to play.

Let’s kick off the autumn semester in a strong, refreshed, and relaxed atmosphere at Ohm Yoga!

Practical Info

  • 60-minute yoga session with a guided warm-up
  • Bring a water bottle
  • Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in (a snug-fitting top is recommended – spoken from experience!)
  • Bring a towel and toiletries if you'd like to shower afterwards in Ohm Yoga’s nice changing facilities

Armbalancer og omvendte stillinger er en sjov og anderledes måde at træne kroppen på, og en god måde at styrke kernemuskulaturen. Armbalancer skaber stabilitet, både fysisk og mentalt, da vi udover at arbejde med kroppen, også arbejder mentalt på at flytte vores grænser, og at finde ro i den omvendte stilling.

Omvendte stillinger kan være mentalt udfordrende, men så længe at hofter og hjerte er over hovedet, så er du allerede i en omvendt stilling. En simpelt stilling som et hundestræk eller en forover bøjning er stadig en omvendt stilling, hvor vi møder verden fra et andet perspektiv.

Fordelene ved at lave omvendte stillinger og armbalancer er, at du øger blodcirkulationen i kroppen, du bliver stærkere, og du får et boost af energi, selvtillid og endorfiner. Hele workshoppen handler om at få en sjov og legende tilgang til omvendte stillinger, og at udfordre dig selv fysisk og mentalt.

Vi varmer op med ordinær yoga, så kroppen er klar på det omvendte stillinger. Herfra er det et spørgsmål om at turde lege, mere end man har prøvet det før.
