IDA IT: Virtualization
Virtualization is widely applied in server environments and almost all major public clouds are based on FOSS hypervisors (Free Open Source Software).
Newcomers to virtualization might find the amount of technologies and providers overwhelming.
In this talk we will try to get an overview of the most common Open Source virtualization technologies (XEN, KVM, libvirt and etc.), and what to look for when choosing technology.
We will also briefly touch upon what the major cloud vendors such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft are using.
Target audience:
CTOs and IT-geeks considering cloud solutions or virtualization.
