Aalborg University and the University of Brasília work in collaboration across continents to address the SDGs. Students from the participating universities across the globe join SDG events held in various locations, most recently in Brasília, define projects based on real-world problems, and create solutions that are highly motivating for learning while at the same time having an impact for people who need it.
IDA Connect has also joined the efforts in order to help identifying and starting such collaborations – and to spread the knowledge of how engineers and engineering students contribute to a more sustainable world.
Four Cyber- and computer technology students from Aalborg University Copenhagen participated in the SDG 2022 in January, and at this event they will present their experiences finding technological solutions to the challenges the Brazilian waste pickers faced when the worlds second largest dumpsite was closed, and more than thousand people living from the dumpsite was forced into a new life.
The event is for everyone, including students who would like to learn more and be inspired on how they can contribute to solving the UN Sustainable Development Goals during their studies.
