Lisbet Clausen, associate professor, PH.D. says:
"This talk concerns the business challenges of female entrepreneurs in Japan, Denmark and Senegal - in a comparative perspective.
Japan has a long-standing reputation for being a challenging environment for women entrepreneurs.
Traditional cultural attitudes in Japan often view women as being responsible for caring for the family and home, which can make it difficult for them to pursue entrepreneurial careers. Japan also scores low in the gender gap index.
Despite these challenges, the situation is improving. In recent years, the Japanese government has taken steps to promote gender equality and support women entrepreneurs, and there is a growing movement of women entrepreneurs who are working to create more opportunities for themselves and other women.
This talk will present case stories of female founders in Japan, Senegal and Denmark in a comparative perspective. "
After the lecture, we will go together to Unkai Sushi, where we will eat sushi ad-libitum. Drinks are at your own expense. The lecture can be heard in English or Danish. Please answer the question what you prefer.
