Have you recently started a new project? A kitchen renovation project at home? Or a new green initiative at work? This lecture is about how to make your future project endeavors more likely to become successful.
Have you heard that you are only halfway towards success if you focus on achieving successful outcomes?
Projects seldom unfold in the way we planned or expected. To make it more likely to become successful, it is essential that you also focus on imperfections rather than only success or failure.
While we recognize the importance of planning toward project success and avoiding project failure, our recent research shows that one needs to pay attention to the emerging imperfections in a project's process.
One significant difference is that you would focus on identifying these emerging imperfections and the strategies to deal with them in context.
This lecture encourages you to adopt imperfect project management thinking for your future projects and focus more on the process with your collaborators rather than primarily on the result.
