Flying the Tornado Fighter Jet as Navigator and Weapon System Operator
Flying the Tornado Jet in low level (70m) and high speed (900 km/h) in "blind" at night, fog and clouds in a formation in up to 4 jets and operation times in up to 8 hours with refuel in the air.

The event will be held in english only!

My colleague Iain has been working as Navigator and Weapon System Operator flying the Tornado Fighter Jet in the UK Royal Air Force. Comparing to “Top Gun” then similar to Goose (Top Gun 1) or Bob (Top Gun 2). 

He will share his knowledge and experience from the time back then and also bring some items to “to touch and feel”. 

The presentation will introduce the Tornado GR4 (bomber). Tornado history, Tornado design, Performance statistics and supersonic video, Tornado role, Tornado self defence, Training, Emergencies. 

Cover subjects such as what it’s like to fly low and fast, in the dark and even on auto pilot at 70m high and at 900 km/hr and why he got into Aviation & Navigator training 

Terrain Following Radar (TFR), Exercise RED FLAG TFR, TFR planning, Night operations low level with no TFR
