Day One Highlights presentations and workshops:

  • Jens Christian Bjerring, Associate Professor at Aarhus University, who will discuss the Key Challenges of AI in education and society.
  • Roy De Vries, Learning Innovator, aNewSpring, sharing insights on AI and Human Centred Learning Design
  • Ilona Boomsma, L&D Consultant, Bureau Reuring providing a perspective on AI+ Video.
  • Workshop: Course design incorporating chat bots
  • Workshop: Application of human centred learning design Roy De Vries.
  • Workshop: Producing learning videos with AI Ilona Boomsma.
  • Poornima Luthra, Teaching Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School: Using AI as a sparring partner in learning.
  • Philipp Hoellermann, Chief Transformation Officer, DWG, Germany: Everybody gets a bot. How to provide AI-supported teaching assistants.

The day concludes with a social evening featuring drinks and dinner for networking and camaraderie and the presentation of the EADL Distance Learning Award for Innovation 2025. Leading up to day 2 program:

  • Corjan Bast, Marketing Lead, Aviation Solutions - by Schiphol Group is discussing human-centred marketing strategies in education.
  • A Nowegian perspective from Kari Olstad, Norway
  • A Nordic perspective from Niels Henrik Helms, Senior Consultant, CELF 
  • Ellen Gunning Chief Executive Officer, Mettacomms, addressing innovative communication strategies.
  • Andreas Refsgaard, an artist, developer, and researcher, will explore the provocative question: "Let the computer do the work – Let the computer do the learning?"
