DSK Hackathon 2022

DSK Hackathon 2022
A Danish Chemometric Society (DSK) event. Participants must be BSc, MSc, PhD students or Postdocs.

Do you love solving real world problems by applying your data skills? Then this event is made for you! Ideally you have a (applied) Data Science, Chemometrics, Machine Learning or Statistics background and are enrolled as BSc, MSc, PhD or Postdoc at any Danish university. Sign up for free!

The 2-day Hackathon event will be hosted at DTU Skylab. Food and Drinks will be served throughout the event. Participants will be asked to form groups of maximum three students to solve a well-defined data scientific problem which is highly relevant to the chemometric community. At the end of the event the proposed solutions will be evaluated against an external test set and the best performing team will be awarded a price of DKK 10.000. In addition, the winning team will be invited to present their method/findings at the bi-annual meeting of the Danish Chemometric Society (DSK) to be held in Middelfart on November 3th-4th, 2022.

We want to create a meeting place and discussion forum for Data Scientists who work with cutting edge AI and chemometricians which have long standing experience in the field of data science applied to (bio)chemical data. The hackathon will facilitate the competition while enabling for extended networking, i.e., you will have the possibility to meet representatives from major Danish Biotech/Food Science companies. This event is organized by the Danish Chemometric Society in collaboration with IDA Kemi and the Danish Data Science Academy funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and Villum Fonden.

More details at our website.

Participation in the event is free, but there is a no-show fee of DKK 500.
