In recent years, Novo Nordisk has been exploring the use of XR technologies, such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, to modernize their industrial training setups. Given the highly regulated nature of pharmaceutical production, rigorous testing and thorough impact assessment are essential before implementing such interventions. The integration of AI has further enhanced the scalability of these digital training technologies, overcoming previous limitations posed by employees' technical capabilities. Collaborating with DTU, ongoing evaluation efforts aim to assess the potential benefits of these digital training technologies within the industrial context, comparing findings with existing research in educational settings.
The upcoming presentation will consist of 2 x 45 minute sessions covering the following topics:
1) An investigation into the current use of Digital Training Technologies for production training at Novo Nordisk
2) A state-of-the-art literature review of empirical studies assessing the impact of digital training technologies in industrial settings focusing on AI and XR.
