At this meeting, IDA Mechanical, Copenhagen is visiting IPU at DTU Science Park where Senior R&D Engineer Kevin Rice and his colleagues will share experiences from working with Digital Twins.
IPU is specialized in using digital simulation models within R&D of new technologies, products and processes for their partners.
This event will focus on cases showing how Digital Twins are used to increase the quality of new products or processes and speeding up the development time.
The cases presented will give insight into how Digital Twins are developed in parallel with the actual physical product or process, and simulations used to optimize design and performance.
Moreover it will be discussed how Digital Twins can be used to cut down development time, by substituting certain expensive and time consuming tests with simulations. Also, it will be shown how Digital Twins will decrease time-to-marked for future products, where Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in smarter products, will require large efforts on SW development.
Finally, IPU will talk about the challenges with the technology and getting it integrated into the industry, as well as what can be expected in the future.
During a break refreshments will be served.
