Danish Course - Elementary

Danish Course - Elementary
Danish language skills make it easier to settle down – and look good on a CV
It can be difficult for foreign engineers to pick up Danish when the corporate language is English. Therefore, the Danish Society of Engineers, IDA, has set up a beginners course for its foreign members.
Benefits of participating

By focusing on verbal teaching, you will especially improve your Danish conversation skills. However, at the same time, you will develop your skills in reading, listening and writing. You will continuously receive feedback from your teacher who is meticulously supervising your development.

Challenges and advantages

The course and the homework demand some serious work from participants. Active participation in the course from the outset contributes to a significantly better development and renders you a good opportunity to build a network among your coparticipants.

Preparation

To get the best out of the course, we strongly recommend that you get your homework done. We also recommend that you test your Danish skills by practicing your Danish between classes.

Number of weeks

The course lasts 14 weeks, 1 lesson per week. - no lessons in week 42

Lesson times

Lessons take place one weekday every week, from 5.30pm to 8pm.

Time consumption per day week

With preparation and homework, you should count on about 1½ hours a week in addition to the teaching itself.

Average time spent per week

Including preparation and homework, you should dedicate about 1½ hours a week in addition to lessons.
