The boss shoots down another one of your good ideas (for no reason), your suppliers are behind on their part of the delivery and your teenager comes home late on a weekday evening. Again.
Crucial Conversations is a world-renowned approach to handling these conversations optimally. The conversations are characterised by opposing opinions, high stakes and strong emotions and they can have the greatest impact on our work and life. It's where it is most important that we act our best. And unfortunately, it’s these situations where we most often don’t.
When emotions take over, the conversation can easily go off track. What this looks like varies - some become verbally aggressive and overwhelm people, while others retreat into silence (and get their side of the story explained, just inside their heads).
Crucial Conversations describes how we best handle these conversations - how we prepare for the conversation, how we navigate the conversation and how we end it with everyone's best interests in mind. In the lecture, you will be introduced to some of the techniques involved in handling these important conversations most appropriately.
The lecture is given by Lars Rothschild Henriksen from Vital Learning, who represents Crucial Learning in the Nordics.
After the lecture, the participants have basic knowledge of the most used techniques in Crucial Conversations, which they can directly apply in their daily lives.
Sandwiches, coffee/tea and cake is served. All participants receive the Crucial Conversations book as part of attending the event.
