The Crazy Christmas Cabaret, is performed in English with a few Danish puns along the way. You will be able to follow the show with a rudimentary understanding of English, also if you don’t know any Danish at all. It’s the 40th anniversary of this immensely popular cabaret. This year it is called: The House of Uhygge
Before the show we will meet up at restaurant Garden Deli which is situated very close to the “Glassal” where the show is performed. Your ticket includes entrance to Tivoli. You can come early and see the park and the winter festivities. There is a nice Christmas marked. At the restaurant we will be seated in the greenhouse in their garden. You will receive 2 glasses of mulled wine (Gløgg) or alternatively 2 glasses of hot chocolate with whipped cream. You will also get 3 “æbleskiver”, which is a traditional Danish treat for Christmas. During our one-hour get2gether you will learn about different winter traditions you can delight your friends and family with over the holidays.
For the show we have secured the best seats in the house! Right in the middle on row 13 + 14. Thanks to IDA you will get the seats with a nice discount.
London Toast Theatre describes the show as follows:
“THE THING THAT WOULDN’T DIE!”
It’s the 40 year Anniversary of the Crazy Christmas Show !
Mckee & Co are still crazy after all these years and ready with another DEAD FUNNY show. We need an injection of fun to cure winter blues and this year Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde will pump you with a potion that will have you doubled over with laughter.
The mad scientist has developed a drug that splits the human psyche into good and evil ! His grim work at The House of Uhygge requires guinea pigs – evil monsters, vampires, werewolves, and the odd politician.
All hell breaks loose when Dame Hyacinth Honeypot arrives with her twin daughters, Bella and Griselda. They plan to use a wing of the House of Uhygge as a wellness retreat for meditation, Qigong, crystals and tree-hugging.
Once again the Crazy Christmas comedy team takes you on a roller-coaster ride, with a mad mix of silly slapstick, sharp satire, dubious double entendres and daring dance numbers. Beware ! Your audience participation is not an option !
It’s dead funny ! It’s fang-tastic and oozing with biting satire ! “THE THING THAT WOULDN’T DIE!”
The tickets are forwarded by email and cannot be cancelled or returned. We shall convene in Restaurant Garden Deli situated close to Lake Tivoli and Glassalen.
This is a little Christmas eve afternoon event. Have a fun and cozy day with IDA.
