Christmas special - We are delighted to welcome former Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Business and Economy Bendt Bendtsen. incl. "julehygge & æbleskiver" while networking. There will also be presentation of DSNAME’s honorary award.
Join us for this special Christmas event, where we are delighted to welcome former Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Business and Economy Bendt Bendtsen. Bent will take us on a journey through his experience as politician with particular focus on his time as minister, with his presentation entitled Looking back at a life with maritime politics, before the traditional Christmas “æbleskiver” will be served. Preceeding Bent's Presentation, there will also be presentation of this year's DSNAME honorary award.
Programme
17.00 Welcome and background to DSNAME's honorary scholarship and presentation of the scholarship by Jesper Aagesen (presentation in English) including brief reasoning by the project counsellors and introduction to the project by the recipients.
17.20 For this year’s Christmas Event, we are delighted to welcome former Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Business and Economy Bendt Bendtsen.
Bendt Bendtsen has been a member of the Danish Parliament as well as the European Parliament and from 2001 to 2008 Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Business and Economy and thereby also “Minister for Shipping”. Shipping has always been dear to Bendt’s heart, both before, during and after his time as elected as well as minister, and Bendt is still active within the maritime community.
At this event Bendt will take us on a journey through his experience as politician with particular focus on his time as minister and his experience within sipping spiced up with a lot of anecdotes. *Please Note: The presentation will be given in Danish.*

The event is in collaboration with Danish Society for Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
