China has been expanding its navy fleet for the last 20 years at a rate that has not seen ever since the Soviet Union expanded its fleet in the years 1975-85. This lecture will describe the details of this expansion seen from military perspective.

This lecture will describe the details of this expansion seen from military perspective by a person which have written several books and publications of military history in its entirety.

China has been expanding its navy fleet for the last 20 years at a rate that has not seen ever since the Soviet Union expanded its navy fleet in the years 1975-85. China builds roughly an equivalent of the entire French fleet every 4-5 years. Furthermore, China has developed hyper- and supersonic missiles and ballistic missiles, so-called "carrier killers", that can threaten the operations of US carrier strike groups. The lecture deals with the different types of navy ships, their armament, machinery and where the ships are built.
