We know that Denmark can be cold, dark and windy in the autumn. That's why we hope IDA can help you get through the period filled with exams and assignments. We have booked 4 great comedians who'll swing by and deliver a packed comedy show for our members. They all are familiar with living abroad and the strange things you can encounter when you're abroad.

So join us at The Black Diamond for an evening to remember, when IDA holds the very first IDA Comedy Night - International. A night made for all of our international members.

The lineup for the evening consists of:

Abby Wambaugh

Abby Wambaugh is an American comedian and writer. She was a finalist in the 2021 Funny Women Stage Awards, a 2021 St. Nells Humor Writing Resident, and won the 2020 and 2022 Nordvest Improv Festival Maestro competitions for individual improvised comedy. In 2022 Abby was short listed for the BBC New Comedy Awards in the UK and in 2023 she was chosen for the Pleasance Comedy Reserve. She co-hosts one of the top podcasts about life in Denmark, Coping in Copenhagen.

Jefferson Bond

Jefferson has been a part of the Danish stand up circuit for 3 years but with his absurd observations on Danish and British culture, family life and social norms. This combined with his own brand of highly energetic physical movement and misplaced charm he has already taken Copenhagen by storm. He became the first English speaking comedian to become a finalist in both Sweden and Denmark’s national comedy competition in his first year.

Kirsty Armstrong

She has fantastic stage presence and humor with an edge. Kirsty Armstrong has been active on both the Swedish and international stand-up scene since 2016. She performs at all the country's comedy clubs and has previously toured the US. At the Swedish Standup Gala, Kirsty Armstrong was nominated for "Newcomer of the Year" in 2019, "Female Comedian of the Year" in 2020 and winner of the "Female Comedian of the Year" award in 2022.

Simon Talbot

Simon Talbot entertains with stories based on everyday life: from computer games and too-short Achilles tendons to growing up as a Jehovah's Witness and his heavy-drinking Irish father. Simon gives the audience his own twisted version of life and is greeted with gut-busting laughter and standing ovations.
Simon is one of Denmark's great comedy darlings, and with his enthusiasm and exuberant storytelling, he has time and again delivered solid entertainment to the people, including his one-man shows: Damp (2011), Talle Alene i Verden (2014), Mr. Copenhagen (2016), Make Denmark Great Again (2018), and most recently Simon has been on tour with his first English-language show "Danish Invasion" (2020).
Simon Talbot is also known for his participation in a wide range of TV shows, including his own sketch show on TV2 ZULU, appearing in Comedy Fight Club, and hosting TV2's big Saturday show Bingo Banko. He has been nominated several times as "Comedian of the Year" at the Danish award show ZULU Comedy Galla.
