Amalienborg Palace Museum - Guided Tour and Lunch at Restaurant Amalie
The Amalienborg Museum is located in Christian VIII’s Palace – one of the four palaces that have been the royal family's residence in Copenhagen since 1794. Here, visitors step into the working rooms of the Glücksburg kings.

The Amalienborg Museum in Copenhagen is part of the Royal Collections, which also include Rosenborg and Koldinghus, as well as H.M. The Queen's Hand Library. The museum is housed in Christian VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. The permanent exhibition on the ground floor is arranged chronologically as an extension of the Rosenborg collection, focusing on the Glücksburg branch of the royal family that has reigned since 1863. It includes various historical interiors from the period, such as the working rooms of four kings (Christian IX, Frederik VIII, Christian X, and Frederik IX). Additionally, the permanent exhibition features a collection of Russian jewelry art with royal provenance and a selection of Denmark's crown jewels. Access to the royal state rooms on the first floor are usually also available, where special exhibitions are regularly held.

At 12 o'clock, we will attend the changing of the guard ceremony at the Royal Life Guards.

Meeting Point: Christian VIII’s Palace, the gate closest to Frederiksgade. The tour ends in time for us to observe the changing of the guard ceremony in the palace square.

After the visit to Amalienborg, we will have lunch at Restaurant Amalie, where we will enjoy Amalie's lunch dish including 1 beverage.

If you require special dietary accommodations for lunch, please send a message to dan.skov@m.ida.dk.

For parking options in Copenhagen and to ensure prompt arrival for the start of the tour, it is recommended to take public transportation to Marmorkirken Metro Station. I
