Strengthen your career using LinkedIn

Meeting place: IDA, Kalvebod Brygge 31-33, 1780 København V You probably have a profile on LinkedIn. Now you want more insight into the features to increase your ability to use LinkedIn to strengthen your career.

During this course, you will learn why it is worth the while to use the world’s largest social network for professionals. You will learn how to use LinkedIn – including your network – to keep your career alive, no matter if you are looking for new job or not.

After the course, you will be able to use LinkedIn as an efficient tool for job market analysis and networking, and you will have received tips and tools on how to keep networking to keep your career alive.
This course is relevant to you if you are a foreigner in Denmark, if you have a LinkedIn profile and if you need ideas on how to use LinkedIn to find a job or to strengthen your career.

You will learn how to optimize your own profile, how to expand your network with the right people and how to use LinkedIn to strengthen your professional brand. Among the topics are:

  • The user interface
  • Optimizing your profile
    o Headline and profile photo
    o Summary
    o Experience
    o Education
    o Recommendations
  • Skills and search engine optimization
  • Networking – expanding and utilizing your network

The course will be a blend of presentations, instruction and do-it-you-self exercises. If possible, bring your own laptop to get more hands-on experience.
