Spaghetti Bridge: Ultimate Edition
The Spaghetti Bridge Building Competition is back again! This semester will take the event one level higher, by giving an in-depth presentation about frames and structures with a special focus on spaghetti bridges. And after that: ready, set, build!
Given the positive feedback from the previous semesters Bridge to Mom's Spaghetti event, we decided to make the competition again, but with many improvements.
This time we will have one of our teachers give a presentation on the mechanics of structures, and specifically on spaghetti bridge building techniques. This way of making the event not only a competition, but more like a workshop.
We also noticed many points last time in order to improve the events (with better materials for example), so we plan to apply that experience too.
The rule book will be similar to last year, but with some minor changes to make the event more fair and fun.
The main organizer of the event is the same person as before: Ákos de Jonge
Since we will have to buy new materials and some compensation price for the talker, the budget of the event has been increased to 1000 DKK.
The exact date of the event is not yet, since we (including our teacher) do not know our weekly schedule yet. The only specific is that it will be held on week 45.
