Several newbuildings are underway to Danish flag - both inland ferries, RoPax- and RoRo ships. Some of these projects will be presented with a focus on new designs and lessons learned from the projects.

The goal for today’s owners is to select a propulsion and power generation system that suits their particular operational profile while at the same time being fuel efficient, clean, compact and cost effective. New technologies, new opportunities, new challenges and new risks. Bureau Veritas shares experience in new propulsion designs with focus on small Danish domestic ferries such as the new Thyborøn–Agger ferry KANALEN, Rudkøbing–Marstal ferry ÆRØEXPRESSEN and how technologies developed on these smaller scale vessels can be adapted for larger vessels, such as the new ferries for the Canadian Seaspan.
