The third group of talented and motivated candidates are almost ready to begin the academy during the Fall of 2017. Each candidate will receive:
- Education in the Danish labour market, work culture, job search and application processes, as well as project management.
- A twelve-week internship in one of our partner companies in order to strengthen the candidate’s network and experience, as well as create value for Danish engineering and technology companies.
- A volunteer career mentor for six months, who has a similar academic background as the candidate, and lives or work in the local area.
During the first two rounds of the academy, 27 candidates landed relevant internships in companies such as DONG, Insatech, Niras, Oticon and DHI Group – and we are always interested in hearing from more companies who wish to become a partner in the academy. After the second round, five candidates were offered employment in their internship companies and three have gotten accepted into university to continue their study.
The four-month competence programme is designed to give engineers, IT and natural science professionals with a refugee background new competencies and an entry into the Danish labour market
